Resilio Connect settings on mobiles


Settings of Resilio Connect on Android and iOS devices are available by tapping on cog icon. 

 

Android

 1) Opens details about the Management Console to which this device is connected. There is also option to disconnect from the Console. 

 2) Enables/disables usage of cellular data. Shall be used with caution as may lead to high mobile traffic usage.

 3) Enables/disables notification. With notifications disabled, Connect will be running with low priority in background and may get killed by the system.

 4) Sets Connect to star automatically on system startup. 

 5) Opens Advanced settings, covered below. 

 6) Opens details about current Connect version, links to Privacy Policy, terms of use and EULA.

 7) Option to contact support: ask a question, describe a discovered issue and submit debug logs. 

 

 8) It searched the whole file name for any part of the entered string.

 9) Shows hidden files (starting with a dot) in the list of files. 

 10) If enabled, a downloaded media file will appear in the Gallery automatically. 

 11) Sends crash dumps directly to developers. Dumps contain system info and details about crashed module. 

 12) Proxy configuration. Only SOCKS4, SOCKS5 and HTTPS are supported.

 

 

 

iOS

 1) Opens details about the Management Console to which this device is connected. There is also option to disconnect from the Console. 

 2) Shows network details and let configure it: 
  - shows current connection type (Wi-Fi or mobile)
  - has proxy setting, only SOCKS4, SOCKS5 and HTTPS proxy can be configured
  - allows enable/disable mobile data usage

 3) Sets up Passcode (or TouchID on supported devices). Also, sets policy to erase data if 10 failed attempts where made. 

 4) Opens Advanced settings, covered below.

 6) Option to contact support: ask a question, describe a discovered issue and submit debug logs. 

7) Opens details about current Connect version, links to Privacy Policy, terms of use and EULA.

 8) Enables advanced search through all files with autocomplete suggestions. 

 9) Enables/disabled debug logging. Log recording will take storage space, but logs are necessary to debug an issue if it occurs. Better keep logging ON. 

 10) Sends crash dumps directly to developers. Dumps contain system info and details about crashed module.
